It is a premium tea brand that awakens all imaginations about tea. As the brand enters a new stage of development, BaoLanHao urgently needs a new visual system that combines the charm of the East with modern aesthetics, to use a unified visual language to address the broader and more diverse brand touchpoints brought about by brand growth, and to shape a more cohesive brand image. Through repeated communication with the brand, we verified and restructured the design multiple times, and jointly sorted out a visual architecture that achieves a high degree of unity from brand recognition to product classification experience. We also updated the brand's packaging materials, advertising images, online visual systems and other designs covering multiple touchpoints. During the brand upgrade process, while retaining the basic font of the brand logo, we extracted the Chinese characters “寶蘭謹制” that metaphorically represent the brand’s value and made them a key part of the visual communication symbol. We also took the traditional Chinese plaque form as the creative starting point and placed them prominently within the design. This arrangement conveys the direct perception of the tea’s “meticulous craftsmanship” and “quality guarantee”, and the brand’s “sense of trust” and “peace of mind” are thus cultivated. For consumers, a “plaque” symbolizes tradition, authenticity and time-honored brands; while for BaoLanHao, it represents craftsmanship, inheritance and vision. We have transformed this dual meaning into the core visual identity of the brand: an open form of the “寶蘭謹制” plaque, like a content space that can be continuously extended, presenting rich application methods through changes in color, image, text, and three-dimensional dynamics in different media and scenarios. Color plays a significant role in the new visual experience. We hope that BaoLanHao will no longer be confined to the use of a single brand color. Therefore, we have redefined the color system and established a set of color combinations that match the “flavor” of the brand, integrating them into the product experience. Each color serves as a hint to a specific tea-making process, taste characteristics, and the appearance of the tea infusion, as well as an evocation of the flavor. Chinese patterns are one of the core visual languages in label design. By extending the combination and application of patterns, more information about tea products can be carried. The flexible and updatable label design enables the series packaging to naturally form a plaque-like system with “uniform flavor and orderly years” when displayed. This ensures high recognition even in complex information scenarios, remaining clear and eye-catching. The visual renewal of BaoLanHao is not merely an external form iteration, but more of an internal brand strategy. It enables the brand to have a stronger memory and the evolution of added value. The consistent “寶蘭謹制” throughout makes it possible for the market to quickly recognize the brand and helps it achieve its commercial goals. 寶蘭謹制 寶蘭號，秉承凝聚时间风味、还原年份记忆的产品理念，拥抱在地文化景象，深耕年份茶品类，是唤醒关于茶一切想象的精品茶业品牌。 随着品牌发展至全新阶段，寶蘭號亟需一个能兼具东方韵味与现代审美的全新视觉系统，以统一视觉逻辑的传播语言，应对品牌增长所带来覆盖面更宽广、多元的品牌触点，塑造一个更具凝聚力的品牌形象。 我们与品牌在一次次的沟通中，反复验证重构，共同梳理出实现从品牌识别到产品分类体验高度统一的视觉架构，并为其更新了包装物料、广告形象、线上视觉系统等覆盖品牌多触点的设计。 在品牌升级过程中，我们保留品牌字型标识的基础下，将隐喻品牌价值的“寶蘭謹制”中文汉字，提炼成为视觉传播符号中的关键一环，并结合中式传统牌匾形式作为创意切入点，堂堂地布局于其中，以此表现出茶品“用心制作”与“品质保证”的直观感受，品牌的“信赖感”与“安心感”亦由此酝酿而生。 Design by AO https://designbyao.com/Triathlon Triathlon GDC Award runs every other year to praise and recommend the best designs with an aim to encourage creative designers since its foundation in 1992. Attracting designers from all over the world, GDC developed from “a top design award among Chinese designers” to “one of the most important global design awards”.In the occasion of the 30th anniversary of GDC Award, the organizing committee sincerely invites designers to create posters in a theme of “GDC Award 30 Years · Design for China's Future”. As far as I am concerned, the 30-year journey is a discussion about faith and moving forward. In addition to professional ability and accomplishment to solve problems, designers also face the test and challenge of perseverance, physical strength and willpower needed in participating in triathlon. However, along with the pressure, design can also be interesting and fun. It is like a game that does not care about winning or losing. It is also a long-term and continuous progress. Therefore, I substituted Triathlon into the theme poster design of GDC30, trying to match “30” to cycling, swimming and running through the language of graphic design, so that ordinary things can be interesting, with weakened excitement and tension of sports competitions, so as to strive to present a challenging and relaxed aesthetic perception. In the context of COVID-19, we are all experiencing a period of hardship and loneliness. The significance of its rebranding is to find a more suitable visual image to match the future development deployment of the brand, and establish a high-quality, unique and stable visual system through complete brand image design, so as to improve the use experience of the audience. In the process of rebranding, we found that the founder of BlissFit has a unique and ultimate pursuit of the power of life given by sports. This pursuit is presented with BlissFit’s love of sports, and it is elegant and comfortable, healthy and pleasant, rigorous and delicate. Based on such keywords, we have constructed BlissFit’s brand values and run them through all aspects of the brand, including fonts, graphics, color, layout and picture rules are extended from offline to online mobile terminal experience. All touch points between the brand and the audience implement the values of BlissFit, so as to give full play to the unity of the brand image. The logo of BlissFit consists of handwritten symbol and logotype. Since the handwritten symbol is one of the main identification elements of the brand, we have redrawn the Roman typeface from Latin letter B. It retains the elegance of Western calligraphy and adds modern refining details to make it more dignified and delicate. This design language is also extended to the graphic elements of the Year of Tiger in 2022. The overall trend is consistent with the symbol of handwritten B, which is delicate, relaxed and full of modernity. In the application of brand image, we extracted apricot which means warm and comfortable, orange which means vibrant and pleasant, and gray which means rigorous and focused, combined with brand symbol and tiger graphics, to adapt to different scenes and create different atmospheres by scaling up, scaling down, tiling, cropping and dynamic effects. Through this brand image update and application, we look forward to further brand development of BlissFit in the future. BlissFit 作为一个定位于健康管理与运动服务的健身品牌，希望带给受众不仅是一个优雅舒适的运动体验环境，更是一种关注于身体回归健康体态的感性生活方式。 其品牌升级的意义，在于寻找更贴合的视觉形象以配合品牌未来的发展部署，通过完整的品牌形象设计，建立起高品质的、独特而稳定的视觉体系，从而提升受众的使用体验。 在品牌升级的过程中，我们发现 BlissFit 的创始人对运动所赋予生命的力量有着一种独特而极致的追求，这种追求呈现于 BlissFit 对运动的热爱，是优雅舒适的、是健康愉悦的、亦是严谨细腻的，正是基于这样的关键词，我们构建了 BlissFit 的品牌价值观，并将其贯穿于品牌的各个方面，包括字体、图形、色彩、版式和图片规则等，从线下延展至线上移动端体验，品牌与受众的各个接触点都贯彻了 BlissFit 的价值观，以此将品牌形象的统一性发挥至极致。 BlissFit 的标识由手写体图形标与文字标两个部分组成。图形标作为品牌的主要识别元素之一，我们对取自于西文 B 的罗马体进行了重新绘制，保留了西文书法的优雅美感，同时增加现代洗炼的细节，使其更具端庄细腻的特征。这种设计语言亦延伸至 2022 虎年的图形元素中，整体趋势与手写体 B 的图形标保持一致，细腻舒展并充满现代感。 development of the relevant clothing products and merchandise. INVINCIBLE is also the first strategic affiliate authorized by the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu GFTeam in China, with Prof. Thyago Garatina, a black belt who is a direct disciple of Master Julio, the founder of GFTeam. In the context that fitness is a way of life, INVINCIBLE hopes to bring about the fun of martial arts to the public while conveying the inner strength of fearlessness and challenging themselves through a variety of martial art courses. Adhering to this methodology, we set the concept of “Fearless and Invincible” as the visual design concept of this new line of clothing. We drew the first letters “F” and “I” of “Fearless and Invincible” and the Chinese characters “勇” and “仁” in a more dynamic and modern style, and re-matched the two languages again in a form of mutual blending, This design with the language also extends from logo design to layout and packaging vision. Undoubtedly, the design conveys the brand's world view of cross integration between eastern and western cultures. The project’s design strategy is comprehensive from conceptual conception, clothing, packaging, graphic and dynamic vision.
